Stefanie Lao recently joined Full Court Press Communications as Communications Counselor, where she supports the firm’s environmental and land conservation projects.

She previously worked as a Press Associate for California Environmental Voters, Digital Director, and Communications Associate for Harley Rouda for Congress, a Press Associate for Biden for President in Nevada, and as a fellow in the press office of then-California Attorney General Xavier Becerra.
We asked Stefanie three questions to get to know her better. Check them out below!
Why are you passionate about communications?
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s to never underestimate the power of a good story. Throughout my career, I worked for organizations and leaders who were committed to making the world a more equitable, inclusive place to live. I’ve seen the direct impact of sharing the stories of the work they do with stakeholders and decision-makers. This motivates me to continue doing the critical work to advance social change. I’m excited to use the skills I’ve learned in my prior roles towards FCP’s mission.
What aspect of working at Full Court Press Communications are you most excited about?
I’m personally invested in climate action and protecting our environment for current and future generations to enjoy. I look forward to working on the firm’s environmental and land conservation clients through social media content creation, media outreach, and all things writing.
How do you enjoy spending time outside of work?
Outside of the office, I love reading a good book, trying out new restaurants, and traveling with family. I always welcome recommendations for books, restaurants, or new travel destinations. Follow me on X: @StefanieLao_ to keep up with our work!
