Media Relations Earns 770,000+ Local TV Impressions for California Nonprofit

Our Client’s Opportunity

SupplyBank.org is a California nonprofit that serves as the largest charitable distributor of essential goods for low-income families, partnering with over 500 organizations statewide to deliver school supplies, hygiene items, diapers, and more.

After providing support to SupplyBank.Org over several years, FCP was re-engaged to announce new investments, launching 50 new distribution sites for diapers and wipes to low-income families in Alameda County.

The Solutions We Offered

FCP provided strategic communications support to plan the press conference announcing the countywide expansion. We built a targeted media list and invited key Bay Area reporters in advance of the event. Following the press conference, we distributed a press release along with photos and video assets. Our team staffed the event on-site to ensure the media had access to interviews and all necessary background for accurate and compelling coverage. These efforts led to coverage across nearly all major local outlets.

The Results We Delivered

Our media outreach resulted in more than 22 stories across print, TV, and radio outlets. Coverage included the East Bay Times (Bay Area News Group and Mercury News), the local news wire Bay City News Service, and KRON. Broadcast coverage included Fox KTVU, KRON, ABC, CBS, and Telemundo. The event also garnered coverage from radio stations KQED (the Bay Area NPR affiliate), KALW, and KPFA. Combined, the TV and radio placements reached over 770,000 local viewers and listeners.
