How a Brand and Website Refresh Boosted Engagement for a Nonprofit

Our Client’s Opportunity

East Bay Asian Youth Center (EBAYC) is an East Bay-based nonprofit serving a racially and culturally diverse membership of over 2,500 young people in Oakland and Sacramento. EBAYC came to FCP to update its website, refresh its brand, gather new photography, and update its communications materials to serve its growing constituency better.

The Solutions We Offered

To help EBAYC strengthen its brand and better engage with its growing audience, we partnered with the organization to create a new website and refresh its brand identity. Our process began with stakeholder interviews with EBAYC leadership and staff to understand the organization’s current brand and communications opportunities.

Based on these insights, we developed an updated visual brand guide that included a refreshed logo, color palette, and typography, as well as new organizational messaging and a revised boilerplate. From there, we worked closely with the EBAYC team to update the website copy and select images that would best represent their mission and community.

Additionally, FCP organized multiple photo shoots at EBAYC’s offices and schools in Oakland and Sacramento, capturing staff, program participants, and leaders. These images are now featured on the website and across the organization’s social media profiles.

The Results We Delivered

The result was a modern, fully refreshed website that showcased updated copy, new branding, and a brand-new photo library featuring EBAYC students and staff. Launched in the fall of 2024, the new website has received positive feedback from the youth and families EBAYC serves, highlighting the successful impact of the updates.

“The team at FCP was an excellent partner for EBAYC. They were flexible, responsive, and creative. We have received lots of positive feedback on our new brand, website, and visual assets. Our branding refresh elevates our visibility and better reflects our organization and we are grateful to FCP for their support.”
