Our Client’s Challenge
Alliance for a Better Community (ABC) works to advance social, economic, and racial equity and justice for the Latina/o community and the Los Angeles region through power building and policy advocacy.
Over the past few years, FCP has partnered with ABC on ongoing capacity-building and strategic, creative, and tactical support. In 2025, ABC engaged FCP to help launch a new fund, the Fuerza Fund. The fund is the first community-driven philanthropy to raise funds, direct critical resources, and build power specifically for Latino/a organizations in and around Los Angeles. FCP supported with branding, messaging, and media relations services to craft the identity and build awareness of the Fuerza Fund.
The Solutions We Offered
FCP provided vital strategic communications support during the early establishment of the Fuerza Fund. This included naming the fund, developing its core logo and brand identity, and developing foundational messaging. Lastly, we provided strategic counsel and planned a multi-month rollout plan for the initial introduction of the fund to new audiences. This included gathering information and sharing findings, recommending core messaging, preparing responses to anticipated questions, and planning monthly tactics for digital activities, opinion pieces, and earned media initiatives.
The Results We Delivered
Our partnership successfully branded the fund, developed core messaging language, established foundational communications materials and templates, and supported the creation of external messaging and press materials. We also placed an opinion piece that tied the fund to the urgent needs faced by Latina/o communities in Los Angeles.
