Crisis Communications Plan Helps Boost County Vaccination Numbers to Over 1 Million

Our Client’s Challenge

Faced with the once-in-a-lifetime COVID-19 crisis, the Alameda Health Care Services Agency sought out FCP for a crisis communications plan, traditional and social media advertising, and creative services to help educate local residents on prevention and vaccine information – especially among underserved communities.

The Solutions We Offered

FCP understood that by delivering information on digital platforms, streaming services, and traditional media they could reach specific ages, races/ethnicities, and geographic locations both online and offline. This enabled Alameda Health Care Services Agency to focus on communities most in need of information based on ongoing census tract-level vaccination data.

To achieve this, we created over 140 media assets, including:

  • 5 television ads
  • 6 streaming radio ads
  • 7 billboards
  • 50+ digital ad designs
  • 25+ ad creatives for ethnic media outlets

The Results We Delivered

By creating customized content to reach specific audiences, FCP was able to help Alameda County achieve 27 million impressions across these hard-to-reach populations.

Big Covid Communications Wins

As of July 2021, over 1 million Alameda County residents had gotten their vaccine and booster for protection against the coronavirus, and over 83% of the community had received at least one dose!
