Veronica Avila, Communications Coordinator, She/Her/Hers

Veronica supports the FCP team by conducting media outreach, creating social media content, and providing logistical and administrative support. She also oversees scheduling, office management, and new business development.

Prior to joining FCP, Veronica worked at an immigration law firm, where she specialized in assisting recently arrived immigrants in the Bay Area apply for asylum and other forms of deportation relief. She is an AmeriCorps alum and has worked with various Bay Area nonprofits providing legal aid to underrepresented communities. Veronica graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and legal studies. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new hiking trails and visiting her local bookstore.
