Sarah specializes in strategic communications for environmental and conservation projects.

Sarah Hersh-Walker, Chief Operating Officer, She/Her/Hers
Sarah develops communications strategies, oversees communications campaigns, and leads coalition communications efforts. She specializes in environmental and land conservation communications and has collaborated with clients such as the Conservation Lands Foundation, the Resources Legacy Fund, and the California Environmental Voters. She has overseen numerous communications campaigns in support of national monument designations, federal and state legislation, and public land planning processes by federal agencies.
Prior to FCP, Sarah worked for Bay Area local and federal elected officials, including serving as Congressman Jerry McNerney’s Communications Director in Washington, D.C. She is a graduate of Pitzer College in Claremont, California, and an alumnus of the New Leaders Council, a national program that trains young political entrepreneurs. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and exploring Bay Area parks and trails.
