Senior Educators
Courtesy of the Contra Costa Times Senior Educators, a Medicare counseling and enrollment service, approached Full Court Press with a four-month challenge: increase its brand-recognition during the second year of the new Medicare Part D enrollment period.
With its previous experience in helping to shape public dialogue on contentious public policy issues, Full Court Press recognized that engaging the media and public on the issue of Medicare Part D required carving out a new place in the debate. And Full Court Press' marketing expertise would come into play, since any media campaign would have to coordinate with Senior Educators' 14-state national direct mail marketing campaign.
Full Court Press created a media campaign positioning Senior Educators and their CEO as third-party Medicare experts offering seniors practical solutions to the complexities of the program. This included aggressive outreach to regional print and radio during the six-week enrollment window. Full Court Press' Medicare policy-fluent staff allowed a knowledgeable spokesperson to be available to the media at all times.

Significant media coverage in key markets resulting in millions of impressions was the outcome of the campaign. On the morning of the Medicare enrollment period launch Senior Educators was quoted in an Associated Press Broadcast radio story that went out to more than 600 affiliated stations -- a success spotlighted in PRWEEK's "Critical Hit" column. The text version of the AP story ran online in more than 90 radio and television websites, and was used in television news broadcasts nationally, including FOX 11 Los Angeles' Good Morning LA show. Throughout the campaign, Senior Educators was mentioned in more than 100 individual print stories. The highlights include the Dallas Morning News, Contra Costa Times, Oakland Tribune, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Florida Times-Union, Salt Lake Tribune, San Diego Union-Tribune, and Charlotte Observer. Capping off the year, just days before the end of the enrollment period on December 31st, a feature article and video interview with CEO Brian Poger ran on Dow Jones' Marketwatch.
